the University of Minnesota is home to the Whittington Press collection and as such, they have a complete collection of Matrix: A Review for Printers, a beautiful and interesting annual periodical about letterpress and related arts that ran for 36 years. as a relatively hot commodity on the second-hand market, issues come and go with some frequency. furthermore, the deluxe editions have a very small limitation, which makes them very infrequently seen. both the standard and deluxe editions have interesting/compelling covers and at some point, i wanted to see what they all looked like. however, i couldn't find any sets of pictures online, least of all of what the deluxe "additional materials" were for each volume. so, here you go! pictures courtesy of University of Minnesota Special Collections, unless mentioned otherwise. (i'm not a photographer and was going quickly, so apologies for some of the pictures. let me know if you want another photo taken or of more details of the additional materials.)

note, that this is a ton of photos... sorry they're not organized better
